"Not to bring up something upsetting, but when you leave here today, you may go through a period of unemployment. My suggestion is this: Enjoy the unemployment. Have a second cup of coffee. Go to the park. Read Walt Whitman. Walt Whitman loved being unemployed. I don't believe he ever did a day's work in his life. As you may know, he was a poet. If a lot of time goes by and you continue to be unemployed, you may want to consider announcing to all appropriate parties that you have become a poet."

THE NEXT STEP

This Summer has gone by fast. I've worked a lot and saved very little. I've begun the process of moving out, and I'm a little scared of what's going to happen next. The one steady thing in my life right now is music. I've been playing keys with The Gathering worship band for the last few weeks and I'm beginning to enjoy it. At least I'm helping others get where they need to be spiritually, through worship.

I also finally finished my EP and it is now for sale online. I've been working on the material for this EP since September of last year. Red Chair Records, which is run by my good friends JB and Austin, has put a lot of work into the packaging and marketing of my EP, and I am very grateful.

The next step in my musical career is my full length album. I hope that my EP will draw some attention to my music and that by the time my LP is done, there will be plenty of people looking forward to it. In the meantime, I have a split EP that I'm doing with The Perk-o-Lator (JB). It's called, "F" Is For Friends, and it will be released sometime in August on Pop Monster Records.

Here's to a bright future!
